Megan lives in sunny southern Arizona with her husband and their three beautiful children. It has always been her dream to write children's books about their dachshund, Slinky. He was a funny, sweet, and energetic dog who brought a lot of joy to her family, and he is very missed. She hopes you enjoy these books with your family and friends! Megan loves being a mommy, reading with her children, spending time in the Utah mountains, miniature dachshunds (of course!), the color purple, and running her small candle company. You can usually find her watching a classic Disney movie or having a dance party with her kids, writing new material, and photographing all things beautiful and adorable. Megan is a proud member of SCBWI (The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and NAIWE (National Association of Independent Writers and Editors).

Slinky was a real-life, adorable, and friendly dachshund! He was our beloved pet and first child for 12 years! "His body was long and his little legs were short, but that didn't keep him from tootling all around town!" He was the inspiration for this book series and is greatly missed. I was lucky enough to stumble upon him in a small pet store back in 2004, and he quickly won the hearts of everyone he met. He was named after the slinky dog character in the Toy Story movies. Slinky went by many names: Slinky Doodle, Weenie, Slinkster, Log Dog, Tiny, Slinky Dinky Doo, and many, many more. Oddly enough, he answered to them all—haha! Slinky adored our twins as babies, so I wanted him to live on in stories with my children as they grow. I hope this series brings your family as much joy as Slinky brought to ours!
